The Shamatari smoke their prey out of trees. They are often at war with various of the Yanamomo tribes. Like the Yanamomo, they are known as being particularly vicious and violent. Nick-named "the swamp people" or "river tribe," the Shamatari take these titles because of their love of living close to the water's edge of the River of Parakeets. The Shamatari do practice cannibalism and practice it in much the same way as the Yanamomo. |
