"Green Inferno" 16mm film negative rescued from the Yanomamos
by Dr. Harold Monroe
Georges Zeter, cameraman of the ill-fated French
documentary crew who ventured into the Green Inferno of the Yanomamo in
1967 and were never heard from again. An earlier attempt by a Polish
crew in 1959 met with a similar fate.

Recent photo of Dr. Harold Monroe reunited with the
young film student (Ruggero Deadoto) who helped to edit together Yates'
footage over 20 years earlier.
Pan American Broadcasting projectionist John K. Kirov
was given a two month suspended jail sentence and fined $10,000 for
illegal appropriation of film material. We know he received $250,000 for
that same footage.
